Our Commitment
ProdigEye is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to make our website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the European Accessibility Act (EAA) (Directive (EU) 2019/882), and the EU Web Accessibility Directive (WAD) 2016/2102. Accessibility is an ongoing effort and we continually work to improve the experience for all users.
The Four Principles of Accessibility
Our website is designed and developed following the four core WCAG principles:
Perceivable
Information and interface components are presented in ways all users can perceive, including through assistive technologies such as screen readers.
Operable
All navigation and interactive elements are fully operable via keyboard, and users are given sufficient time to interact with content.
Understandable
Text is readable and understandable. Page behaviour is predictable and users are helped to avoid and correct mistakes.
Robust
Content is built to be reliably interpreted by a wide range of user agents, including current and future assistive technologies.
Measures We Have Taken
In building and maintaining this website, we have implemented the following accessibility measures:
- Semantic HTML: Proper use of HTML elements to convey meaning and structure to assistive technologies
- Colour contrast: Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)
- Responsive design: The website adapts to all screen sizes and orientations, including mobile devices and tablets
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements, including navigation menus, links, and forms, are accessible via keyboard alone
- Text alternatives: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text for screen reader users
- Readable fonts: We use the Outfit typeface at sizes and weights that support legibility across devices
- Language declaration: The HTML lang attribute is set to English to assist screen readers with correct pronunciation
- No reliance on colour alone: Information is not conveyed by colour alone and is supplemented by text or other visual indicators
- No time limits: No content on this website expires or is time-limited in a way that could disadvantage users with disabilities
- No flashing content: This website contains no content that flashes more than three times per second
Known Limitations
While we strive to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the entire website, some areas are still being improved:
- Some older embedded SVG illustrations may not have full descriptive alt text for screen readers. We are working to add text alternatives to all visual content.
- Some complex clinical tables may not be fully optimised for all screen reader software. We are reviewing these and will improve their structure.
